How many emails do you send per month? Calculate your volume and your tier

Add your transactional emails (orders × emails per order, account emails, notifications) to your campaigns (subscribers × sends per month) and allow some growth margin. That total determines the 2Mail volume tier — pricing is per tier and per sending domain, not per email.

What does an average company send?

For comparison, from our customers' practice — not norms, just reference points.

Web shop with 300 orders per month

Three to five emails per order plus account emails: around 1,500 system emails. With a monthly newsletter to 2,000 customers you reach 3,500 to 4,000 emails.

Software with 5,000 users

Password resets, verification codes and notifications quickly add up to 10,000 or more per month, with peaks around a release or a campaign.

SME with a fortnightly newsletter

A list of 4,000 addresses, twice a month: 8,000 emails, plus a few hundred system emails from invoicing and CRM.

Frequently asked questions about volume and tiers

Yes. Your volume tier covers all email from your domain combined. Internally, system email and campaigns are processed separately, so a large campaign does not delay the delivery of your order confirmations.
You are not cut off without warning. If you structurally exceed your tier, you move to the next one; the difference is settled pro rata. So include a growth margin in the calculator.
Because a fixed amount per tier is predictable: a busy month brings no surprise on the invoice. Per sending domain, because each domain has its own reputation, statistics and authentication.
By default pricing is per sending domain. If you have several domains, request a shared volume: one package spread across all your domains. We arrange that in a conversation.
As accurate as your input. Look in your web shop or CRM at the number of orders and accounts of the past three months, take the busiest month and add the growth margin on top.
